We recently hired Chef Andrey and his Team at ThinkOFood for my Mother’s 60th Birthday. The food and experience we had with Chef and his team were absolutely incredible.

From the onset of communications and inquiries, Chef Andrey was responsive flexible and worked with me to pick a curated menu that would cater to our guests.

I wish I had pictures to go along with this review, but I was too busy enjoying every minute of the night not having to host. We had a beautiful charcuterie, delicious appetizers and a family style meal that truly tasted like it came out of a five star restaurant kitchen. Short ribs were an absolute highlight for all of us!

I cannot recommend enough for someone thinking of hosting a private intimate event to go with ThinkOFood. Five stars for Chef Andrey and his team. Andrey was amazing leading up to our dinner for the 14 people. He came over to my house weeks ahead of time, which allowed us to meet and discuss the menu, and for him to see my kitchen. I liked him immediately.

The menu we selected was outstanding and Andrey even added an additional first course that wasn’t included in the plan. As well, he brought an extra helper, which was a bonus in making the evening go seamlessly.

Andrey was personable, and part of the serving process, along with his two helpers. He introduced each course, which made for a great experience.

While we selected a family style meal – instead of plated – they still served each person at their seats, which was more than I was expecting, and greatly appreciated.

The kitchen was immaculate at the end of the night. All the platters and wine glasses were hand washed and put away, and the dishwasher was running with all the dinnerware and cutlery.

All of these things, and most importantly delicious food, made for a wonderful dinner. We highly recommend Andrey, and would use him again!

Chef Andrey helped the McCain Toronto Office celebrate a huge event – National French Fry Day. I shared my idea to create poutine’s that would showcase our fries and he took it to the next level. Everyone raved about his home made gravies and we barely had anything leftover (mostly because his portions are so generous). Thank you Chef, can’t wait to collaborate again soon!

Chef Andrey is so obviously passionate and excited about food, and so eagerly answered all our questions about everything from his knives, to the difference between various cuts of meats, to his culinary travels and more. This was such an incredibly special experience for all of us.

The food alone was beyond words and we will all be thinking about it for a long time, but then the service and social experience on top of it made this one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. We all gathered around the kitchen island and watched as the food was prepared, ate eat course family-style, then moved to the dining table where we were served in a way that felt like the most top-notch restaurant, at home!

Amazing experience with Chef Andrey and his team. 10/10

It was very easy working with Chef Andrey on the menu. He was responsive and answered all the questions we had and kept in touch during the process, checking and confirming we were all ready for the event.

We had appetizers, tapas, and charcuterie boards for our corporate event back in December. The menu was customized to meet our vegan, vegetarian, and halal options requirements. We had a party of 120 guests after office hours with a bartender station (a great addition to the food).

Chef Andrey offered 3 menus with different prices that met our budget and weren’t pushing anything (actually we wanted to order more and he said we don’t need that much 😉

The team came on time, set up everything quickly, and was ready for us. Guests were in shock at the charcuterie table and we even had some leftovers.

Andrey and team were fantastic through the entire process of a 50th anniversary celebration for 16 people. From menu planning (Andrey created a custom menu),to the delicous food, to the fabulous service.

I would like to thank Chef Andrey and his staff for the wonderful experience we had on my Husband’s anniversary! This was my first experience with catering and I enjoyed it very much.

Chef Andrey gives you a choice of menus that could be altered to your guest’s food restrictions. I also rented dishes for the party, it was very convenient as we had 26 guests. On my part I just decorated the house, but everything else – setting up the table, cooking, serving guests and cleaning was done by Chef Andrey and his staff. At the end of the evening, all I had to do was to turn on the dishwasher with some of our dishes that were used. The food was delicious and we received many compliments from our guests, thank you Chef Andrey!

At the beginning of the evening, as our guests mingled, the appetisers and wines were served by waiting staff. I also ordered a charcuterie board that looked so beautifully arranged. As we sat at the table, the food was served family style. Cute printed menus were given with the explanation of food that was being served. The setting was intimate and at the same time it felt like restaurant quality food and service. Everyone enjoyed the evening and few people asked Chef Andrey for a business card.

I would like to recommend this catering service to everyone, who wants to make the celebration event special with an intimate setting.

Chef Andrey catered a surprise birthday that my husband threw for me at our home this past weekend. We are a repeat client of his and this experience reinforced why. Chef prepared a brilliant appetizer menu that featured six distinct offerings that he proposed to my husband, as well as a terrific charceuterie board. Notably, chef prepares all of his ingredients – including various types of bread and breadsticks for the charceuterie board!

He also proposed some great wines and very fitting cocktail pairings.

We rounded out the evening with fantastic creme brulee and some complimentary torrone.

Francesco provided terrific service by Chef’s side, his cocktails were delicious.

The quality (and quantity!) of Chef’s food, the presentation, and, most notably, the impeccable customer service (being a totally hands off host from the moment they walk in, and leaving the place spotless upon departure) are best in class.

Andrey was incredibly helpful and responsive prior to our dinner with helping us pick out our meals, and gave us plenty of options to choose from (which was especially great as a vegetarian).

On the day he was professional (punctual, arrived with everything he needed, cleaned up after himself), friendly and we had some truly delicious food especially the mini grilled cheese and smoked eggplant dish.

Chef Andrey and Francesco were so helpful from the word go, from chalking up different menu options, to being flexible about the timings and menu items. And on the day of the event , they arrived, set up, prepared and served and even helped out with the drinks, and were so amiable and kind that they pretty much merged with the party while still being on point with prep. And now the food, everything on the menu was gourmet and absolutely delicious.

The guests loved every single preparation and the quantity was ample, such that by the time they wrapped up, we still had a little bit of food left-over, which the guests helped themselves to, later in the evening.

So yes just go with them and stop worrying

We had an exceptional experience hiring this catering group. Chef Andrey was a pleasure to deal with during the planning phase of our 55 person PhD graduation party last weekend.

He worked professionally with myself and my mother-in-law to provide quotes, answer questions, modify our menu and cater to the options that we were interested in. The appetizers, service and gelato station were highlights of the day.

Many of our guests asked for a business card and intend to use Chef Andrey and ThinkOFood for their own upcoming events.

I had the pleasure of experiencing Andrey’s private catering for the second time with an exceptional dinner. Andrey created a restaurant experience in the comfort of our own home. Last time, it was an outdoor BBQ event in our backyard.

This time, we decided to go with some appetizers and a plated dinner. The menu was divided into some appetizers at the begging when everyone arrived and then three courses, starting with a delightful combination of Salmon Berries and Eggplant Tahini for my vegetarian wife, followed by main course options: Brazilian Pasta Pesto with Peruvian-style skirt steak, and Fall Tortellini with cassava for my wife. The meal finished with a delicious White Chocolate Strawberry Limoncello dessert.

Each dish was bursting with flavour and texture, and we could not get enough. Andrey did an outstanding job of catering to our needs and provided an unforgettable culinary experience. He came with Nikita, who did an excellent job of serving and bartending us and making Aperol Spritz for everyone.

I would highly recommend this private catering service to anyone looking to impress their guests with exceptional food and service. Overall, the menu was top-notch, and each dish was prepared to perfection.

We invited chef Francesco to take over our family’s kitchen tonight. Dinner was perfect. Al bacio.

We had Chef Andrey cater our son’s first birthday party by operating a crepe station. Not only was Andrey fair, responsive to our budget and detail oriented in advance of arriving, but his execution on the day-of was perfect. He arrived on time and was as low maintenance as can be (bringing in food and equipment and setting up in the midst of a crowd of 30+ people).

He was the centre of our party and remained calm, cool, warm and friendly to all our guests – most importantly, his crepes were absolutely delicious. Attentive to our requests, he provided savoury and sweet options for our guests, and was more than willing to deviate from his menu for special requests. He also surprised us with a delicious complimentary focaccia.

We were also grateful for his efforts in lending a hand with other aspects of the event, such as cutting and serving our birthday cake. We received many compliments in respect of Andrey and all were well-deserved.

Chef Andrey customized and build a special menu for us around the our preferences. Francesco was so funny and took care of the wine parings and the cockatiel bar. Prices was per guest and very accommodating with our budget.

The kitchen was left clean and spotless. They even took the garbage with them and it felt like they were never there.

Chef Andrey and Francesco were absolutely wonderful. From the first communication to the end of the night it was a smooth, stress free experience! Communication regarding menu, timing and logistics was easy and clear. The menu was a Mediterranean inspired birthday dinner that my fiancé will never forget. The food was all delicious with more than ample portions and as well as a few extras on behalf of the chef!

Francesco was delightful with his table side manner and always making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. At the end of the evening, all was packed up and my kitchen was more spotless than when they arrived.

The service was incredible and the food was amazing. They are both very thoughtful and even offered to take our pictures that night and prepared a paper menu. We felt very comfortable with them hosting the dinner and gave us absolutely no complaints.

I had Andrey and Francesco come in to make a private dinner for four at our home on only a few days notice. Chef Andrey was incredible to work with before the event and was so responsive and accommodating and helpful such as offering drink pairing options. When they arrived, they had everything they needed and got to work right away and we were able to truly enjoy our evening with our friends without worrying about a thing.

The food was all amazing with great flavours, and they surprised us with a delicious mushroom dish to start with before dinner. We had scallops as an appetizer, Jamaican beef terrine main and Knafeh for dessert. The portions were very large and they made extra potatoes and vegetables too.

Throughout the dinner Francesco was so attentive clearing our dishes and filling our drinks. After the dinner, the kitchen was spotless and we had nothing to worry about.
